Today, the 4th of July 2008, I’d like to express gratitude to the dreamers, to the entrepreneurs, scholars, pioneers, to the original inhabitants of these lands who together have created the greatest republic the world has ever known. Many today argue that the United States of America is no longer the beacon of hope and freedom that we profess to be, and that our generation will be swamped by mediocrity in the face of insurmountable challenges. Well, let’s just remember the prophetic words of Bob Dylan and John F. Kennedy when they said, “Your hearts must have the courage for the changing of the guard”… for “Now it is time for a great new American enterprise… which in man ways may hold the key to our future on earth.”
Rock on people, we’ve got work to do.
